| INTERNSHIP
The Consulate
General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles offers unpaid internships
throughout the year to qualified students (Azerbaijani
citizenship preferred but not required), who are currently
enrolled in an academic program in the United States
at graduate or senior undergraduate level. The internship
aims to introduce participants to daily activity of
a diplomatic mission and to promote better understanding
of foreign policy issues facing Azerbaijan.
A successful
applicant is expected to be fluent in Azerbaijani and/or
English and to have adequate writing skills.
The
internship involves the following:
- preparing
regular press reviews and, occasionally, analytical
documents on topics
- relevant
for the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- participating
in Azerbaijan-related events;
- assisting
in preparation of documents by the Consulate General;
- compiling
the databases and updating the Consulate’s website;
- providing
general administrative support to the Consulate’s
staff;
- helping
to building partnership with educational institutions;
- assisting
with organizing Azerbaijani cultural events;
- performing
other tasks as required
